was good, but 6 episodes why not just make it an animated movie.

Yeah, they could have, and really should have, done this the same way they did the ‘Bad Batch’, was actually pretty good, and thinking if they did, and would have probably been a bit more of an expensive and expansive production, but would have caught on pretty fast.
I don’t get it. She seeks revenge serving those that she hates? Can someone please explain?
The doc says it all. The most destructive source to civilisation that must be exterminated with due haste.
“Race and money got people into politics” - talking about in the 70s how christian schools were no longer tax exempt if they continued segregation. interesting thesis, that christian nationalists, or conservative political activism, were the primary organisers of jan 6, not sure that i entirely agree, me placing political views above that but intertwined of course. i do think it is important to look at it from that prism, but in a wider context, which it tries but i believe has some of the zeal it is purporting against.. perhaps. i think if america were to become a fascist state that religiosity would be a part of its make up but not its overarching coherence, but instead it has kind of latched onto and shares the same values of intolerance, and the same history of course.. though when you look at the numbers and its up to 40% of the us as fundamentalist, hence roe. i think the pro-life movement is representative of an active contingent rallying Christianity in america, whereas gerrymandering is a more encompassing politically active right movement. And of course theres the package nexus of military, state, man, god, race, ability etc. interesting stat from this 15% from a poll were full christian nationalists. ooph and theres a media group called salem… on the nose…on the other hand, it was interesting to see christian conservative commentators interviewed in this documentary being critical despite their histories.. a bit like excult members that still believe in the spaghetti monster but were out of the organisation. bit of a ramble.. good doc though. i have requested links.
Thank you. Good watch. This corrosive criminal element has no right to exist as it has forfeited that privilege.
“its a good show” “its only 24 years old” “Let’s take over the comments with ridiculous rants about how good this show once was & now isn’t” …tbf..this show is a 1/20 now.
Unlisted but starring Ariana Richards (girl in Jurassic Park) as the girl of interest.
I love this ….funny but in a grown-up way…. well, without spoiling anthing, especially the amount of uncensored expletives that comes out of the mouths of the wee dandelion sprites.
I know these guys “The Deadboy Detectives” were in another series….. I think it was Doom Patrol (and I did spot a Doom Patro. T-Shirt in this episode)…..Am I correct oh you fonts of great knowledge?
“money is the debt of the issuer” and “debt is private sector wealth” something like that.. or when you issue money as the issuer you’ve created a system where the issued to has the money to give you back? they’ve got the money you gave them so they can give you the money…
After almost 5 years of fearmongering and stoking division, how could they be so utterly unprepared for this possibility?
Pretty decent movie, starring Ned Leeds, pretty good comedic actor.
This is pretty decent so far, little shorts, 10-15 minutes long each, but they are good little watches. Worth the time. Only 6 episodes I believe in the first season, so hope that’s enough to get somewhere.
This film is at best average as everything about this film from the animation quality to the quality of the films comedy is just that average and while yes little kids might like this film for a minuet or two they’ll very quickly forget about it as that’s just how forgetful that this film really is and the less said about Chris Pratt’s Garfield voice the better.
Just watching the names of the series being thrown about, Lexx, Sanctuary, Farscape… i’d say give “Space above & beyond” a try, and join the legions that say it finished way too early
Sorry, but while I’m at it, if anybody hasn’t seen it Dark Angel, Jessica Alba’s intro series. Seriously awesome premise, extremely well played, written and cast. Again finished too soon, but there’s enough to make any even slight Sci fi fan into a fan instantly. Looking back on it you can see the first season was underfunded, but the acting and writing kept you hooked, and it soon got a more polished look. Very similar premise as Alias (Jennifer Garner) but different enough that you wouldn’t feel cheated watching both around each other. Out of the 2 though I’d pick Dark Angel myself, but any fan of one should like the other one at least as much.
It started out well but that last season, where the “already pushing the Sorbo saturation limit” became “Sorbo overload” really kinda messed things up for me, as did the “Hercules in Space” plot/narrative.
The show was at its best when it was focused on restoring the Commonwealth and coping with the Magog threat…kinda like ST: Discovery last season, restoring the Federation and dealing with the alien species accidentally destroying planets after The Burn.
But by the Great Ones (Roddenberry and JMS), I can’t watch anything with Sorbo in it anymore after suffering through his Christo-rightwing fanaticism on Twitter for so many, many years. Shame too, he was never a very good actor, but he was perfect for Sam Raimi’s Hercules.
He did me with Hercules, a pretty simple character and he just made him dead rather god like, Xena was 100% better and that was pretty cheesy acting wise too. The rest of the cast do save Andromeda though, but only just

You definitely won’t regret Farscape, easily the best Sci fi TV show ever made. Another one for sure well worth the watch if you haven’t already, Dark Matter, they seem to go so fast because it’s so engrossing. And as usual with the really good Sci fi shows, there just isn’t enough of it
i never understood, why 1989/90 the communist party SED wasnt banned like the NSDAP after the war…both were terrorist regime parties, but the SED is today back in parliaments..unbelievable.
this huge mistake of Kohl has very drastic negativ effects today in our society
I didn’t watch this when it was on weekly. I tried it a few times. Then there were the cross-over episodes that I had to watch if I wanted to see how it ended. I just wasn’t a fan.
Then they put Sam’s character on NCIS: Hawai’i. I don’t know anything about his back story. And I’m seeing some of the other characters on the other NCIS shows. So, I thought I’d better watch the show so I have a clue. Still not my favorite NCIS show.
The thing that really has me confused is why this isn’t in the Paramount+ catalog. I went there first to watch a cross-over episode (I was rewatching some old NCIS episodes) and NCIS: Los Angeles is no where to be found. So, I watch it here.
my only criticism would be for the emotive music for the popo to be more appropriate… why not KRS in the background.. woopwoop,.. or maybe some ominous noise.. also maybe T-rump with like jaws or vader music. otherwise great collation, ok analysis, cool graphics. i thought a24 was my friend :( also you dont often see about near the end of the insurrection when all the gun bearing authorities are taking over. Honestly i dont think this mob of insurrectionists would have destablised the us govt.. its a symbol and that is significant, and its the place that comes together for the govt to do their work. if trump had rallied the military as what has happened in other countries then there would be a coup. conversely this was nothing like the arab spring. maybe bushwick esque.. maybe… https://www.primewire.tf/movie/1117159-bushwick handmaids tale like…
i guess if anything, for me, the capitol insurrection just reveals how ritual is part of the process of governing.
Anybody recommend this show? I’m about to finish SG Atlantis and need a replacement.

True loneliness without family or friends can be a mental struggle for anyone. I did not know about the game show this man was in. I did know from the news about the earthquakes. I wonder how much of the game show is true. But I’m just a dumb American. Glad he found peace in helping others in the end.
10 minutes in and all I can think is how much funnier this would be if they had just recast every role with an actor from “Succession”
Instant hit
Now I’m excited to watch both! Added Farscape to my plan to watch list.
Farscape fans weren’t happy about the unresolved story when nbc killed the series, so they finally got to see their fav show end as nicely as possible when the 2 part Peacekeeper Wars was released & gave a proper end to the series. Don’t forget to add that for a psychologically satisfying end - which is almost unheard of when shows are axed..

Hey if you get a chance, check out Shannen Dougherty’s Podcast. She brings on Kevin Smith and they explain everything behind Mallrats, talk about the sequel and read some of the script!
I’d recommend Farscape, it shared a lot of the same elements as SG:A in terms of creativity, tone, space opera tropes, etc.. In other words, fun with occasional overacting that fit with the overall show, and even more creativity (IMO) than Andromeda. And since you must have watched SG-1, even a “big honkin’ space gun” type weapon that would even make the Goa’uld poop themselves (or their hosts ;) ).

As long as she looks up once in a while… Helen of Troy may have had the face that launched 1000 triremes, but Amanda’s got the eyes that launched 1000 Prometheus-class starships. Which I only mentioned so I could say that “Sir, we can’t name the ship Enterprise” was quite possibly the best piece of SF dialogue ever put into a script (though Futurama’s got a couple really good ones too).
Oh, man, Lexx was a head trip until I could binge-watch the movies and first season. So much crazy stuff going on and so few real-life touchstones until (hmmm, I sense a trend here) NBC got ahold of it and gave it a $10 budget for the last season. Still, I agree completely that it was very underrated - sometimes I get the feeling German TV doesn’t always translate to US TV, but maybe Netflix’s push to bring shows like Dark to Netflix USA will make it easier. :)
That 1st season of The Lexx was done by Showtime, so it’s very different than the rest of the series. The entire series however is brilliant. Really dig Patricia Zentilli as the Prez wifey.
You can join the boys in our family then. I believe they’d watch Amanda clean her nails.

Andromeda is good, but Farscape is very superior. Not once did it search for itself or the arc. It always knew what it was & where it was going with laser-sharp writing & long term serialization. Other than Lexa Doig who portrayed Andromeda ship’s AI was married to SG-1’s Michael Shanks, the only way the two shows were similar was in that the primary vessels were alive or had living AI. Farscape was more similar to The Lexx in that regard - another underrated space opera.
Andromeda’s strength was in the entire ensemble cast, who were more capable than the central star. The show also introduced quantum mechanics in a very mainstream way to provide story elements. Until that time, that area of science was pretty obscure to the laity.

I missed Sanctuary, but I could watch Amanda Tapping on permanent loop and wouldn’t get bored. ;) I’m going to have to ad that to my list!

Sanctuary is waaay cool. It started as a web series, so it’s cool to catch that as well as the episodes made for Sci-Fi before nbc hijacked the network & killed off all the good shows - like SG-1, Farscape, Sanctuary, SG-A, etc.

YES! Farscape is amazing! Did everyone catch “Sanctuary”?? Amanda Tapping was just as good in it, if not better, than she was in the SGU’s. https://www.primewire.tf/tv/2113-sanctuary
