Improvisation and non-professional actors are used to investigate a forgotten corner of post-industrial America in this experimental short. Through the eyes of a new employee (Alexandra Auder, daughter of Warhol superstar Viva), we are introduced to a mysterious factory and its odd inhabitants. It is a time and place on the edge of economic extinction, in a working-class, Polish-American neighborhood of Philadelphia. Her explorations of this workplace, while often humorous, ultimately reveal an isolating and dehumanizing landscape with no escape. |
