Damon Kendrick reflects on his experience of leading up to and competing in the 2011 Rottnest Channel swim. He is officially the first shark attack survivor to compete and complete the grueling race. Damon lost his leg to a rogue shark on the coast of South Africa in the late 1970s, but had not let this traumatic event rule his life.
