The Rehearsal is an experimental film, sitting somewhere between a documentary and a performance, that explores relationships between psychology and the body. The film questions what human behaviors are imitated, fabricated, real or subconscious and if there is a difference between these behaviors. A series of interrelated scenarios that occur within a theatrical context are woven together throughout the film. As the scenarios unfold, a sense of fatigue becomes evident and the facade of each performance ruptures. The Rehearsal is a film that exposes its own fictional construction by progressively deconstructing the elements that compose it. |
