Details:

Two hands work quickly and efficiently in an organized, but messy kitchen. Walnuts are ground, peaches are chopped, and finally hand whipped cream is dropped on top of a beautiful looking cobbler. Alma, the restaurant owner, carries her dish out to one of her most loyal customers - Joan. Joan tastes a bite and is absorbed by the delicious flavor. She begins typing notes on her computer, which will later become a blog post on her food blog “Joan Eats.” Later that day, Joan sits at her desk in her meaningless and horribly boring job. While taking a peek at her blog, her boss, Michael, comes in complaining about the coffee pot. Joan jumps up to redo his coffee. While Michale is spouting off more meaningless tasks, Joan receives a voicemail from Foodie, Inc asking her to come in for an interview that afternoon! Joan quits her job and hurries to Foodie Inc. While waiting in the lobby, Joan meets Brittany. Brittany seems nice enough at first, until she reveals that she is actually applying for the same job as Joan! The two girls are led to the kitchen where Mel is waiting for them. Mel explains that competition is a tradition at Foodie Inc, and for one of the girls to be the next blogger, they must cook an original dish from memory in one week’s time. Joan seeks the help of her favorite restaurant owner, and she and Alma cook together all week. Six days later, Joan’s cooking skills have improved, but she still needs an original dish. In a moment of weakness, Joan steals Alma’s coveted peach cobbler recipe. At the competition, everything seems to be going well for Joan until her recipe is revealed and Alma, who is in the audience, leaves in anger. As the two competitors are plating their dishes, Brittany walks to Joan’s counter and searches through the drawers to find Joan’s scribbled notes. Disappointed, Mel disqualifies Joan from the competition and names Brittany the new Foodie Inc. blogger. Some time later, Joan returns to Alma’s kitchen with a heartfelt apology. Next, two hands work quickly and efficiently to create the most beautiful salad to come out of Alma’s kitchen. Joan and Alma sit down together to enjoy a delicious meal.
