“Save the Phoenix” is about three college students who work at a local independent movie theater downtown. The theater has been losing audience to the multiplexes. The three students come up with zany ideas to keep the theater from going out of business, but they don’t work. A well-known criminal comes to rob the theater but quick thinking by the crew shuts him down. The media attention helps turn things around. |
