The Scarecrow explores the decay of land and identity, themes of isolation and paranoia. Set on a desolate farm, a lonely farmer decides to get rid of a tatty old scarecrow; viewable every morning from the window in his bleak bedroom. However, after waking up the next day to find the scarecrow back in the field, events take a turn for the worse, and the farmer’s actions become increasingly frantic. Doubting his own mind, the farmer begins to wonder if there is a hidden connection between himself and the old, decrepit scarecrow… |
